Accessibility
Our commitment to accessibility is straightforward: every person who visits our website or contacts us for support deserves a clear, barrier-free experience. We take that seriously, both as a values matter and as a practical one.
Our Accessibility Commitment
FSET is committed to ensuring that our website, fset.inc, is accessible to the broadest possible audience, including individuals who use assistive technologies.
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those affecting vision, hearing, mobility, and cognition.
What We Are Doing
We are actively working to improve accessibility across our website. Our ongoing efforts include:
- Using clear heading structure to help screen readers navigate pages logically
- Writing descriptive alt text for images that convey meaningful content
- Ensuring colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA ratios
- Designing interactive elements to be operable by keyboard, not mouse alone
- Writing in plain language that is easy to read and understand
- Avoiding auto-playing media and flashing content
Our website is built on WordPress with a custom theme. We review and test accessibility as part of our web development process.
Known Limitations
We acknowledge that some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. These may include certain legacy content, embedded third-party tools, or documents in PDF format.
We are working to identify and address these gaps on an ongoing basis. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing content or completing a task, please contact us.
Requesting Accessible Formats or Support
If you require information from our website in an alternative format, or if you need support accessing any of our services, we are happy to help.
Please describe the content you need and your preferred format (e.g., plain text, large print, audio). We aim to respond within two business days.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you notice anything that could be improved, please reach out, your input helps us do better.
